Room for Therapy is an inquiry into the importance of therapy rooms and the way they are furnished in relation to the encounters and processes that take place there.
The photographer and psychotherapist Caroline Jensen has spent ten years visiting therapists on four continents. During the course of her travels, she has photographed rooms where people share their innermost thoughts and feelings, and which offer a space for reflection on the meaning of life and the direction it is taking. We imagine tales of pain and suffering, and we instinctively understand that these are places that foster change, development and hope.
Room for Therapy is the result of a co-operation between Caroline Jensen and interior designer Ingrid Unsold. Unsold shares her thoughts on how to create a safe space and the way the setting can help people open up and change their way of thinking.
