Will forever change your attitute towards stress and life...

I couldn't agree more with all of the other 5-star reviews. I took the class as well, and have since passed the book on to many friends and relatives. Most of them--like myself--read it in one sitting, and did so more than once. For a more concrete example, one of the best lessons I took from the book was more of a reassurance that something I already knew was not--as people had often told me--a bad idea. I can't quote the book verbatim, but the gist of the lesson is this: The small cost of hiring someone to mow your lawn may be worth the huge reductions in stress potential gains in free time to do other, less-stressful things. (Assuming you feel that mowing, etc. is indeed stressful; I know there are those who enjoy it - the principle is what matters...) That's just a small snippet, but it's something I remember all of the time, especially when arguing with my significant other about the benefit of hiring someone to do things we could technically do ourselves... Sometimes having an extra hour or day is worth the money to have something done for us. Anyway, personal reasons aside, it's a great read and I highly recommend it. You certainly could do worse things with an hour of your time!

Well worth the time and money!

As an Industrial Engineering student at USF, I minored in business. I took the management course and was very impressed with this book. The best testament to this text I can give: It's one of the only books I've ever read that I read from cover to cover in one sitting. Keep in mind it was a required textbook for me. The points are made in a friendly, conversational, and entertaining tone.

Phenomenal book from a phenomenal professor

This is one book I won't be selling back when the semester ends. It is entertaining and useful. The focus of this book is a little off from the traditional time management genre. Instead of teaching you how to better organize your use of time, Karlins tells you how to make the most of the time you have. After all, what is the point of being perfectly organized and wasting no time when you hate every second of it?

Read this book

And if you take his course at the University of South Florida, it is required material. I passed this book along to a dear friend of mine and he learned several valuable lessons from the twelve chapters featured in this concise and pertinent book. Dr. Marvin Karlins's words leap off the pages! Enjoy.

amazing

i rally cant put this book down its amazing it really helps you understand the things in life u need to. it helps you better manage your time to make it positive rather then negative because somtimes you're not realizing it but you're spending more time tryingto make a better life than actually having one its just an over all great book and it really helps you manage your time.
