THE EMERALD SWORD was my first novel, although chronologically it is the third in this saga, it was born from strange dreams that I had in my youth, incredible dreams that were very vivid for me. THE MAGICIAN OF MESOPOTAMIA, the second one I wrote, but the first of the Trilogy emerged as a kind of epiphany at the end of the last millennium, while I was on sabbatical between the ancient Mayan lands and the charming city of M rida, the capital of Yucat n, Mexico. THE SKULL s CENTURION, the third one I wrote, but chronologically the second in the saga came to life during an internship in historic Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Now, the translation from Spanish to English of the three novels was daring on my part; I wanted to experiment with the technology offered by Microsoft and with my very basic knowledge of the English language to correct the translation.
