Role of Protected Areas in Disaster Management Sustainable

The Rwandan economy is primary dependent on natural resources and therefore environment and natural resource degradation has adverse impacts on economic growth and the livelihoods of a majority of Rwandans. To strengthen the economic planning sector's contribute towards achieving sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction, the sector must adopt an integrated approach in development planning, i.e. economic growth efficiency, fair distribution of resources and environment sustainability.In this study titled "Role of Protected areas in Disaster Management sustainable" Case of Rugezi Marshland in Butaro and Kivuye Sectors of Burera Districts (2010-2012). The researcher had an objective of evaluating the contribution of protected areas in sustainable economic development in Rwanda especially in Butaro and Kivuye sectors in Burera district from Rugezi marshland. The researcher used second data collection (written documents and the primary data as well as the questionnaire and interview which help helped in getting all information we need.
