Most of the people suffer from many brain diseases related to various reasons and dementia is one of the sensitive disease. There are various types of dementia, and Alzheimer's disease (AD) is taken for our study. These results in the volume reduction of sub cortical brain structure named hippocampus. Hippocampus segmentation is essential to assist in the clinical study of AD. There are many segmentation methods and still it remains a challenging task to design simple automated techniques.This book focuses on some of the simple techniques.
