After a series of earthquakes occurring throughout the planet, scientists marveled at the discovery of several new periodic elements emerging from beneath. Fueled by innovation and the desire to better mankind, they were ultimately betrayed by financiers and corrupt politicians attempting to capitalize on their discovery. Realizing that their efforts and work were being misused for profits, they fled in secret to an unknown location with others seeking a new start in life. Years passed as they remained undiscovered until a faint signal accidentally disclosed their existence.
