Craig Stumpter is a young man living in the Midwest. On the ranch where he is working he hears about the Oregon country and specifically the Rogue river valley. He takes his horse, buys a pack mule and heads overland over the mountains to the Oregon country.At this time, in the early 1900's, it was quite an adventure traveling cross country.
