Rodeo is a cornerstone of the Western experience and this book is an invaluable chronicle of one of the veterans of that tradition. The Sheridan-Wyo-Rodeo's span of the better part of the 20th century... This description may be from another edition of this product.
As a lifelong rodeo fan whose family history is rich with western culture, I thoroughly enjoyed this reading as it is well written and entertaining too. Mr. Ringley tells us about how and why the rodeo events began in this town steeped with western history then explains what goes on behind the scenes to organize and produce a rodeo. The author realizes the importance of documenting an accurate history of this great sport, and I would like to see more books such as this pertaining to other locals. Shirley Heiner Las Vegas, NV

As a friend of the author, I was looking forward to reading his first book, but having no association with the rodeo, I had little interest in the topic. I do enjoy reading history, however, and the pages of "Rodeo Time" are full of true stories about rodeo cowboys and the Indians who also performed. Some of the factual reporting will be more of an interest to locals of the area, but I found the book a quick, fun read.
