Rocket Red: A Little Ant with a Big Dream

By Dave Gibson and Cheryl DaVeiga

Book Overview

Meet Rocket Red-a little ant with a guitar, a dream, and absolutely no intention of spending his life marching in line.

Red dreams of becoming a rock star, and with his Lucky Bug Band behind him, he's ready to rock the anthill. There's just one problem: his mom, the queen ant, thinks he should forget all that music nonsense and get back to work feeding the colony.

But Rocket Red was born to rock.

Packed with laugh-out-loud ant puns, colorful characters, and plenty of heart, Rocket Red: A Little Ant with a Big Dream is a funny, music-filled adventure about believing in yourself-even when the people around you don't quite understand your dream.

Then one day, Red finds himself all alone and in a dreadful jam. Can his music somehow save the day?

Perfect for kids who love funny stories, music, wordplay, and rooting for the little guy.

And there's more to do than just read Kids can hunt for all the fANTastic "ANT" words highlighted throughout the story, search for Beebop Bea hiding in the illustrations, learn real ant facts, and sing along with Rocket Red's original song.

A funny, interactive read-aloud that gives kids something new to discover every time.
