Rockabilly, In The Beginning, tells the story of the music that Elvis Presley and others created. Although its popularity lasted only a short time in its original form, it can still be heard around the world and was responsible for the birth of Rock and Roll music. My purpose in writing this book was to compose a short history on each of the singers and musicians who heard the call of the music that Elvis Presley created and followed his lead. From Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Conway Twitty, Johnny and Dorsey Burnette, to Sun Records and more, this book details all things Rockabilly. I have also included my own thoughts and comments as well as a narrative about my life as a Rock and Roll musician and fan. I sincerely hope you enjoy reading my first hand encounters and travel through time with me to the birth of Rock and Roll and Rockabilly music.
