Holiday did a wonderful job disbursing good information in her usual delightful way! If you read her daily column, you will love her book. If you don't normally hit the morning horoscopes, Rock Your Stars will still give you a wealth of knowledge to take on life's journey.
Absolutely Astro-licious!!!!

I agree with the last reviewer. Holiday Mathis is so fresh. I'm not just saying this because I'm her friend (okay, I am) but because she's one of the few young voices of astrology that's truly different (and we could use more of those). Holiday's voice sparkles. She writes from the perspective of a modern gal with real world problems just like you and me; she uses the ancient art to expand her toolbox and rule her world. And her positive upbeat attitude is contagious. After reading Holiday, you can finally drop that notion that your chart is heinous (or at least more heinous than anyone else's). She says, "It may seem like others have better luck or destiny than you, but here's the real truth: Your stars are only as lucky as you make them." I keep Rock Your Stars at my side for a new spin on a Sun sign, or a question I'm mulling over - because it's original and groovy. To find your signature style piece (Aquarius, Hip Hugger pants; Taurus, a throat chakra stimulating necklace), or get out of a career rut (Aries, "You're not afraid to drive on a job for size...Answering the phone for a bookie? Hmm interesting character study") check out Rock Your Stars.
lots of fun info about your sign

i wanted this book because i read holiday's horoscopes in my local paper. i think the book is fun and fresh. it's written for women. there's horoscope info for a variety of topics including romance, your home, your work and your health. if you're looking for a deep dive into any of these areas this book isn't going to give you that but if you want some insight into yourself based on your sign then you've got the right resource. there are interesting little stories scattered throughout the book. it's current and fresh and would make a nice, fun gift for your astrology interested girlfriend. one of the neatest suggestions i got out of the book was to write yourself a love letter, that goes for any sign, but i still found the discussion about it beneficial.
