In nearly four decades of experience, I've picked up a few tips and tricks of the trade, which I will share with you in these pages.

From humble beginnings, standing alone in a field, picking suitable rocks for my new boss's stone project with only the wind for company, to custom stone fireplaces, thinking on the fly, and trading notes with architects. Along the way, I've learned two things for certain. One: my chosen profession was hard graft. And two: even a desired profession had heaping amounts of drudgery to master.
