A must have Companion for a Southwest trip

I am always grateful to authors who spend their time documenting rock art and ruin sites so that the general public can enjoy them. This book will allow you to easily find many interesting "off the beaten path" sites. The author touches on 7 states, highlighting the most interesting spots in each. I particularly like the author's approach of showing an overview map of the State with a number indicator so that you can quickly see where each site is. You then use the number reference to find the detail instructions on how to find the site. This past year I used this book to find a site known as LAWS SPRINGS. It is not an easy place to find as it requires driving on several miles of dirt roads yet this book got me there without a hitch. The book is primarily black and white photos with a few color shots thrown in as an insert. The real value in the book; however, is the detailed directions. While not comprehensive, it is definitely an important part of my library.
