The baby girl needed a home, and Clay Callaghan was ready to provide one for her. The Texas cattle rancher knew next to nothing about caring for infants, but he'd never turn his back on his own flesh... This description may be from another edition of this product.
On the cover is a fairly young looking man with a baby. Inside, Clay Callaghan is the grandfather of an abandoned baby in Mexico. He hires Daniella de la Cruz to accompany him as his legal advisor to get his granddaughter and raise her in place of his son who just died. Daniella, however, is a complex young woman. At 25, she is a rising star at her law firm, keeping the secret of her younger sibblings from her work life. Juggling the needs of teens at home and trying to maintain the needs of her job, Daniella packs and heads off to Mexico with Clay. She takes charge immediately making sure to provide for a baby she knows so little about. After making it through the gauntlet trying to legally bring Clay's granddaughter into the United States, Daniella is convinced by Clay to provide nanny services. What ensues is Clay's chance to learn to parent. Though constantly distracted by the teens and the baby, Clay finds himself wanting to leave bachelorhood everytime he lays eyes on Danielle. He resists as he believes himself too old. Danielle and Clay are a very unlikely couple, but the story is not unplausible. It's a very sweet story for a rainy day.
