I am so glad that I bought this cook book! Robin gives suggestion for every recipe like how to make a big batch, how long the items will stay fresh in the refrigerator and freezer, and how to add variations to the dish. This book has helped me get supper on the table a lot quicker after a busy day at work. I definitely urge you to get a copy of this cook book! It was a wonderful addition to my kitchen! One thing I will say of Robins recipes is if it doesn't turn out exactly how you think it should, try it again and add something else or try a different cooking method. For Example: The first thing I made was the spicy chicken meatballs with tomato and lime dipping sauce. I made them exactly as the recipe says to but I found that I didn't have enough room in my pan to make all the meatballs and it would have taken too long to make them all up in batches. So instead I put the rest of them in a 375 oven for 20 minutes, flipping once, and they turned out great! I've made adjustments to other recipes in the book and they've turned out perfectly! Don't be afraid to make it your own and change the recipes a bit!

This cookbook is great for the non-cook as well as someone who is an experienced cook. The menus and various ways to use the extras without just reheating are great. I collect cookbooks and have over 300 at last count and will use this one often.

Great, flavorful recipes for the way we eat today

I picked this up at Target when it came out because most of the recipes sound like the way we like to eat; I usually have ingredients like fresh basil and cilantro, rice wine vinegar, shallots, lime, etc.,so these recipes don't scare me off (if you want plain food, get a Betty Crocker book!) So far, I've tried Spicy Chicken Meatballs with Tomato Lime Sauce, Flank Steak with Parsley Basil Chimchurri, and Pan-Seared Tilapia with Mango-Ginger Sauce. All were wonderful. Next on the list to try are: --Green Beans with Pineapple Vinaigrette --Spanish Chicken --Grilled Pork Medallions with Avocado-Mango Salsa --Chile Lime Skirt Steak --Southwest Cabbage Slaw
