What if the legend of the crossroads was true?
In 1968, Nick joins Heavy Aubergine, a British blues-rock band convinced they are destined for greatness. But when their debut album is overshadowed by a mysterious new band called Led Zeppelin, rivalry, jealousy and resentment begin to tear them apart.
Years later, an obsession with the legendary blues pact sends Nick's friend Glen to the Mississippi Delta in search of the crossroads where a guitarist can supposedly exchange his soul for extraordinary musical ability.
Nick follows him-and discovers that the Delta holds secrets far older and stranger than he imagined.
An enigmatic bluesman. A battered Gibson said to have belonged to Robert Johnson. A mysterious woman who seems to appear across decades. And a supernatural world where music, history and magic collide.
But Glen has made a terrible mistake.
And Nick may be the only person who can save him.
Robert Johnson's Guitar is a darkly comic supernatural mystery steeped in the blues, British rock culture and the wild spirit of the late 1960s-a story about obsession, friendship, betrayal, musical ambition and the dangerous price of wanting to be the best.
