WOW!!!

I was really impressed at how well this book was written! Easy to read, full of personal stories, and an excellent tribute to the 442nd RCT/100 BN/MIS

Honoring Those Who Served

I really enjoyed reading this book because I am fortunate to have met and associate with many of the soldiers named in the book during my volunteer work in gathering similar Nisei Soldier Interviews with the Go For Broke Educational Foundation. The book provides addtional information about the battles I have not read or heard elsewhere. It details the actions of the Recipients who received the Medal of Honor and those around them who fought the same battles along side them. Many of these men continue to this day tell me "I didn't do anything", but I know better. It has been some time since a book like this has been written and I hope that they continue to write about these heroic men (and women), who where once treated like the enemy one day and heroes the next. Many still don't know about the Internment Camps and that U.S. Citizens lost their rights just because of their race. The story needs to be told to every generation to ensure that it never happens again to anyone. The U.S. Army continues to use the 100/442 Unit designation to this day to honor those who served during WWII. The modern unit a short time ago, served in combat duties in Iraq, helping the Iraqi citizens vote for the first time in their lives. I know it was difficult for the author to decide how much detail to go into as he covered the 100th, the 442nd, the 522th, the 232nd, the MIS and the WACs, but he did a great job as there is a lot of history there. Thank you Mr. Yenne! GO FOR BROKE!
