We all know Jack the Ripper but how many of us know him and why he began?
The overall premise of this fictional period thriller revolves around a multigenerational saga entwined with dark secrets, psychological turmoil and the quest to explore themes of historical and contemporary settings. It thrusts the question of nature versus nurture into our faces, the importance of how past actions affect future generations and the struggle between desires and social expectations. Rise of the Ripper is lightly based on facts and the sequence of events that led to his murder spree across London, as well as his eventual demise.
Using only one of the canonical five, Mary Jane Kelly, not the gruesome details, but as part of the story. The rest are factual unnamed and unclaimed bodies from the years up to the body in the tree in 1940.

On discovering through diaries and the ghost of his dead grandmother Emily. Who, he thinks, he is the last in the line of this evil family and is determined to wipe the "evil gene" out by eliminating them with the help of his ghostly gg grandparents, Willaim aka JTR and Emily.
