Rise of the Jaguar Woman: Book Two of The Mayan Chronicles

By Lee E. Cart

Na'om can see the future in her dreams. But knowing what is coming may not be enough to save her.

Na'om has grown from the shunned child of the Wayeb into a young Maya woman with extraordinary powers. Through her dreams, she can glimpse the future-but her greatest enemy, Satal, the black witch of Mayap n, has not forgotten her.

After being pushed into a cenote, Na'om and her black jaguar companion, Ek' Balam, find themselves trapped in the Maya Underworld. To return to the land of the living, they must pass from one perilous realm to the next, facing the trials set before them by the gods.

Above them, Satal is on the run from the people of Mayap n. She flees to Chich n Itz , where she begins gathering power-and an army of her own.

Inspired by the ancient Maya Popol Vuh, Rise of the Jaguar Woman follows Na'om and Ek' Balam through a world of gods, magic, danger, and adventure as they struggle to reach the surface and confront the threat growing there.

Rise of the Jaguar Woman is Book Two of The Mayan Chronicles, an award-winning historical fantasy series.
