I read this book in the mid-late 80s and thought it was pretty good at the time. An interesting thing about it: the shark is the same size as the one in Jaws (but in this book it's a Tiger Shark), 26 feet long. There are exactly 26 chapters and they are titled by the alphabet of CB letters, like: Alpha, Bravo, Charlie...X-Ray, Yankee, Zulu. The cover is a variation of the original Jaws cover, even appearing to show a Great White. The story is not bad, if a little far-fetched. Pretty Good if you couldn't get enough of the Jaws books.
BETTER THAN EXPECTED

A 26 ft. tiger shark stalks the shores of Florida. In the meantime, a record-breaking hurricane that will cause some serious flooding is on its way. This is the first shark-on-a-rampage book I've read and I think topping it will be rather difficult. There are attacks aplenty and enough action to hold my interest all the way through. Once the hurricane hits the focus is on the destruction it causes with minimal appearances of the shark, but it still remained exciting and up until the hurricane arrives (about the last quarter of the book) the shark takes up a large chunk of the pages. It's a great melding of a horror and natural disaster story.
