Cute, but not what I expected.

I LOVE the Rip Squeak art galleries in CA and the children's book series. I was hoping that this book would have each letter on a separate page. A piece of art on each page like the book series. Instead several letters are on each page with the Rip Squeak characters around them with sayings "A is for Adventure." The Rip Squeak illustrations are wonderful though. Was just hoping for something else.

Jesse's Book of Colors is a delightful board book perfect for introducing beginning readers to the words for different colors. An inquisitive, anthropomorphic mouse named Jesse leads the reader through each two-page spread - the left page has text printed on the background of a given color, while the right page features a charming illustration featuring the color. For example, "What's green? / My very good friend Euripides the frog!" shows Jesse's green, froggy friend executing a courtly bow in Shakespearian stage dress. A wonderful and friendly book for parents to share with toddlers while teaching them the words for the rainbow spectrum of colors.
