Rinkitink in Oz

By: Baum, L. Frank

A peaceful island conquered. A young prince left behind. Three magical pearls that may hold the power to save an entire kingdom.

Prince Inga of Pingaree sees his home devastated when warriors from the neighbouring islands of Regos and Coregos invade, carrying away his parents and people into captivity. Determined to rescue them, Inga sets out across the Nonestic Ocean accompanied by the cheerful King Rinkitink and his ill-tempered talking goat, Bilbil. Armed with three extraordinary pearls possessing mysterious powers, the young prince must face hostile rulers, dangerous islands, imprisonment, and enemies determined to prevent him from freeing his people.

Their quest eventually carries them into the underground realm of the Nome King, where courage and magic are tested once again and familiar friends from Oz enter the adventure. Filled with enchanted objects, perilous escapes, strange kingdoms, humour, and unexpected twists, L. Frank Baum's Rinkitink in Oz is a lively fantasy of loyalty, perseverance, and a young prince's determination to restore his family and kingdom.
