Wonderful

I have never been disappointed by any of Ms Brown's books. This is one of her best. I strongly recomend this, as a fantasy, love story and just plain good old fashioned story telling. May Ms Brown continue writing for many decades to come. She is a gifted author

A sort of Back to the Future with horses

This is another fast read by Rita Mae Brown. This is a non-mystery book set in the usual Virginia foxhunting country. A widow under alot of stress somehow is transported back to the Virginia of her ancestors and a really interesting story goes on from there. The characters are quirky and real and the story really moves. Very entertaining!

Riding Shotgun

I have read this book 7 times and never tire of it. My daughter is now reading it. The characters are wonderful, and having run my own barn, very believable and true to form. All in all it was one of the most enjoyable books I have ever read. I am looking forward to her next equine type book, although I have read most of her other ones and love them all.

A Lot of Fun

Great book for escapist reading. Fun when you're tired of looking at spreadsheets and wish you could be out riding instead. We don't foxhunt in our part of the country, but Pony Club tests on it, so it's nice to get this introduction by an excellent writer. If you liked this, try "The Lady" by McCaffrey (yes, the fantasy writer). Another great horsey book. You can tell that these writers really do ride.

I loved this book!

I have been a fan of Rita Mae Brown's for a long time and I particularly enjoyed this book. Its an interesting story with very "real" and well-defined characters that seem like old friends by the time you've finished reading. I was intrigued by the storyline and could not put this book down. If Ms. Brown writes a sequel I'll buy it the minute it hits the shelves! Also, if you like horses you will really enjoy this book too.
