Good, good read.

Riding on Instict was a good, good read for me. I really liked the way the author just jumped into it and gave the reader a great story, filled with some good, erotic romance. It's one of those books that you like so much, you think about afterwards. I'd recommend it along with Rough, Raw and Ready (Rough Riders).

OMG!!!

I'm not going give any details away about the book, except for that fact that it's HOT, STEAMY AND FULL OF PASSION. I am a huge Jaci Burton fan and a big fan of the Wild Rider Series. I love love love this book. I have to say this is my favorite so far in the series (and I thought the last one was) and a must read. I GIVE IT A "YOU GO GIRL!"

The wait is over!

Finally Spence's story is out! I'm a huge fan of Jaci Burton and I absolutely love her Wild Rider's series. I have to say I thought it would be hard to top Diaz and Jesse's story, but MS Burton certainly has! Spence was quite intriguing in Riding Temptation so I impatiently awaited his story in Riding on Instinct. So far this book is my favorite in the series. Spence is a brooding alpha male who clearly does not back down in any situation. Shadoe Grayson is defintely his match. What I loved about this story was Shadoe's strength. Keeping in character with both of the female leads in the other two books of the series, Shadoe is not a wimpy female dependant on men. Despite the fact she seemed a pampered princess growing up she had a rough childhood, as did Spence which bonds them on this mission. Without knowing it or understanding it fully, Spence is sucked in to a relationship with this woman. He thinks it's just sex yet every encounter between them is so much more. Shadoe is a self assured woman even though she seems a little hesitant with the stripping part of her undercover work, she more than proves she has the "chops" to handle any assignment. In this story we see more of AJ and Pax and hopefully (please, please, PLEASE) they will get their own story from Jaci Burton soon. The undercover work in this story is excellent--a good brain teaser on who the bad guy is and how they will bring them down keeps you intrigued. Not that you need to keep intrigued as the sex really keeps you turning every page to see just what and where Shadoe and Spence will explore next. If you like alpha males and equally strong women, with passionate encounters and suspense thrown in to boot, you need to read this book as well as the other two Wild Rider's books. Jaci Burton is a keeper author for me and I'm sure this book will be re-read repeatedly.

What was she thinking? Department of Justice agent Shadoe Grayson asks herself that after accepting her first undercover assignment and meeting the man who is going to be her partner for the duration of the covert operation. Shadoe's cover is that of a stripper - something she has never done before - but anticipates she can do well enough to be believable. Having a photographic memory and striking looks won't hurt, either. The goal of this important mission? Bring down and capture a rogue DEA agent who is trafficking drugs into New Orleans. Shadoe's job is to memorize the strip club patrons while dancing hot enough to entice them not to notice her keen observation. And dance she does, right into the arms of her partner, the one man guaranteed to make her want more than he is able to give. Spencer King has his doubts that Agent Shadoe Grayson has what it takes to be a credible undercover stripper. That is, until he dares her to strip for him and she ably takes on the challenge. Quite frankly, Spence is speechless. Though he quickly recovers, he repeatedly tells himself that he can't afford to become involved with his new partner. They have a job to do, and that must be his main focus. Hiding his feelings from Shadoe, Spence silently acknowledges that deep down he is lying to himself and those around him. He cares about Shadoe, and he cares deeply. He just can't let Shadoe know because then she would have the power to hurt and control him. And he will not be controlled again. Ever. Oh baby! RIDING ON INSTINCT opened my eyes to a new way of thinking; I need a motorcycle and I need leathers right-this-very-instant! Jaci Burton's RIDING ON INSTINCT took me on the ride of my life through the streets of New Orleans and the clubs of the French Quarter. Add in the characters of Shadoe and Spencer and my Harley Davidson, leather-loving, motorcycling-riding heart was in hog heaven. Shadoe's character is multifaceted. The only daughter of an important man in Washington, she has never felt loved. Her entire life she has strived to make her father proud of her and so she takes the assignment given to her not ever expecting to find love and acceptance in the group of agents covertly known as the Wild Riders. Earnest, steadfast, and with a heart of gold, Shadoe plans and carries out her mission with the utmost talent and quite a few surprises up her sleeve. Spencer is more complex - the victim of a horrible childhood, he feels terror at the thought of loving someone and so he has never allowed a woman close. Then along comes Shadoe Grayson who slowly dances her way into his bed, his life, and his heart. RIDING ON INSTINCT kept me guessing the entire book. Clues given were sleek enough that I caught very few and I loved that I was surprised at the end. Shadoe and Spencer's loves scenes were amazingly written as well as sultry, sweaty, and oh so sinful. From the first love scene to the last I could sense every emotion and feel every t

Another Exciting, Sexy Wild Rider Story!

The Wild Rider hero in this story is the seeming rabidly confirmed bachelor `Spencer King', who has prided himself on choosing women he can love and leave with no strings attached. That is until he finds himself drawn to "Shadoe Grayson", a Justice Department Agent assigned to work with Spence and fellow Wild Rider agents Paxton and AJ. The mission is to ascertain the identity of a rogue DEA agent who is passing information to the Columbians about drug seizure operations at the port in New Orleans. The Justice Department suspects that the rogue agent is using a high-end strip club in New Orleans as a base of operations. The Wild Riders team and Shadoe are assigned to go undercover at the club to identify the agent and catch him passing intelligence information to the Columbians. When Spencer initially meets Shadoe he is immediately skeptical of her abilities. She appears an "uptight", prim and proper woman who will never be able to pull off her undercover role as a stripper at the club. Spencer however, is sorely mistaken as Shadoe proves to have a brilliant mind (she has a photographic memory), and assumes her undercover role with chameleon like efficiency. Spencer plays the role of Shadoe's bodyguard and boyfriend at the club for the duration of the assignment and he finds himself inexorably drawn to her. Shadoe is witty, sexy and confident. While she has had to compete in a man's world to earn her position in the Justice Department and suppress her sexuality, it certainly bubbles to surface because of the nature of her undercover role as a stripper and because of her burgeoning interest in Spence. This is a love story about two kindred spirits, damaged by childhood trauma, who find each other. However both are dedicated to their jobs and are determined to part ways at the end of what turns out to be a harrowing assignment. Spencer is particularly reluctant to become emotionally involved and when he begins to have feelings for Shadoe, his automatic reaction is to reject her. I felt so relieved when he finally lets down his emotional barrier and a firestorm of pent up sexual tension is released between them. The love scenes penned between Shadoe and Spence are extremely intense and erotic, these two enjoy "outdoor experiences". More information about "Wild Rider", agents Paxton and AJ, is also given to readers in this novel. These two are best friends, and how can I put it, share EVERYTHING. I sure hope there is a fourth Wild Rider novel because now I really, really want to read their story. Paxton and AJ are funny, totally efficient as Wild Rider agents and very alpha. The mission is suspenseful and thrilling as the agents infiltrate the bar, identify the rogue agent and are caught in the crossfire during a vintage "Wild Rider" climax to the story. I was surprised by the identity of the contact for the rogue agent. Shadoe and Spencer remain committed to their jobs with different government agencies and continue to plan to return t
