I am a long time fan of Robin Lee Hatcher's writing and have read every book she's written. But this is by far my favorite of all. I've read it five times and will read it again. What I have always loved best about Robin's writing is her ability to pull a reader instantly into the story. That was certainly true of Ribbon of Years. I am eagerly looking forward to buying a copy of Firstborn as soon as it's released.

reading Ribbon of Years and thoroughly enjoyed it. As a writer myself, I admire how Robin Lee Hatcher's writing seems effortless. The story tells itself without the reader constantly being reminded of the writer behind the words. I have read the works of more recognizable names and constantly felt their presence (or intrusion) into the story. I have only read a few of Robin's titles, but she has gone to the top of my favorite author list. Her inspirational segments in the story are well-placed and thought provoking. By reading her works, I have learned more about the art of writing than many of the non-fiction books on the craft on the market today.
Leaves you wanting something in your life.....

This is one of those books that after reading it you wish for what the main character has. No, not all the trials and tribulations she must go through but the peace that she has with her through them. Robin has written a remarkable book that will keep you flipping the pages to the very end, you will not want to put this book down to sleep. You will need to make sure you have the time to sit back with a cup of tea and relax with this book.
Ah, to leave such a legacy

This book made me cry, and I am not a weeper. I think Robin's portrayal of one woman's legacy in a small town is incredible. It forces you to think about your own mortality and what will be said about you. The characterization is awesome, and I think she's hit a new plateau in inspirational fiction. Couldn't put it down!

I know the "couldn't put it down" line is a bit cliche, but it was definitely true about this book. Miriam's story is a wonderful example of how a life of faith can impact others. This book will linger in my mind for a long time to come.
