Finding the right-size rhythms for one's renewal with God
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
This book was especially timely for me, having read it after making a major life-change move from one city to another. All my rhythms and rituals were off or packed up in a box somewhere. The reason this book WORKS is that real women were interviewed, who talked freely about what's helped them, as well as what hasn't. There were some fresh and new ideas I hadn't thought of, such as changing bed covers, dishes, music, placemats, bird feeders and even the position of a favorite chair - all these can add new perspective and keep one's life in God from going stale. The book helped me to realize that perhaps I didn't need to unpack all my boxes from our move, but, instead, to find "quiet waters," an attractive new journal or even a new definition for a Sabbath day of restoration. This book beckons you to want to read it at least twice a year.
Rhythms of Renewal

I highly recommend reading Rhythms of Renewal. It was quick and easy to read, filled with many good ideas. This book has brought to mind how very important we are to God, to our families, but also to ourselves. I now see the importantance of making time for myself. Something busy women tend to minimize. The suggestions offered are fun and require as much time as you have to spend. It's also a fun book to review with friends and to help you create those special "girl friend" times that we need and treasure.
Great book.

Reading Rhythms of Renewal made me slow down and really think about how each of us needs to be 'renewed'. I especially liked the Rituals of Renewals at the end of each chapter on how to get a start on being renewed. Must read book.
Refreshing!

This book is a must-read for anyone in search of new ideas, inspiration, and change in their daily life routine. Targetting both the inner and outer life, it outlines both the vital need for regular refreshment and creative means of creating greater space and opportunity for it, ultimately inviting the reader into deeper and more authentic engagement with herself, others, and God. I loved both the challenge toward living with greater intentionality and the practical ideas of "how to".
Rhythms of Renewal

Rhythms of Renewal by Letitia Suk is proving to be both a practical guide to making the most of your everyday life as well as a book that sparks creativity when carving out life's memories. I have chosen to read this book slowly, taking the time to respond to Letitia's thought provoking open ended questions. I have found that the sections at the end of each chapter-the Response, the Small Group Speaks, and the Rituals of Renewal provide wonderful opportunities to practice personal reflection that can lead to making significant changes to the way I live out my day to day life. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is desiring to reorient their busy lives and gain a fresh perspective on a life pleasing to God.
