When I don't know any other way to communicate - I write poetry; it helps As a seven year old, when I wrote my first poem and showed it to my parents they appreciated me a lot. Their eyes were bright with pride and maybe they had started to dream more for me and my talents. But the very next thing I know was those eyes losing their brightness when the world hit them with the supposed reality of how they should raise their daughter. They were told to keep me caged because I was a girl. Because I was a little girl with big dreams, sometimes with rebellious questions but always curious to know about life and the world. Fortunately, though through many tough experiences - my parents didn't fall into that social trap and let me live and follow my heart. That's when I decided I have to keep writing, I have to keep rhyming. 6 years later of that epiphany - here I am - with - Rhyming Life. Also to my surprise, when I was a teenager, I got to know that my grandfather was also a poet and he has written pretty amazing pieces in his times. So, that makes me believe sometimes that maybe poetry is in my genes. Rhyming Life - is not just a collection of poetry for me. It is actually an achievement of every girl who has fought many labels just because she writes poems and has a different trajectory of life. But at the same time Rhyming Life - is like a journey that you can thread in your own story to understand that life is tough but at the same time it could be beautiful and if it's not you should try to make it beautiful. Because as long as we live, we have to get through life - so why not make an effort to make it better each day.
