A 26 year old post-college grad is struggling to find meaningful work with their college degree. After years of searching and hopping between dead end jobs, bills and debt catching up despite working 80 hour weeks, there is still no hope in sight, leading to their lowest point in life. Then, succumbing to the call of the void, their passivity lead them straight to their untimely end, not before regretting it and wishing for another chance to cherish life. A disembodied voice then offers them a new opportunity to journey to a fantastical world reminiscent of Earth's videogames and fantasy works. Accepting the offer, they are then reincarnated into this fantastical world, not as a human, but as a wisp in a dungeon.
