Rewiring Narratives: New Media Art from the Arab World

By Haytham Nawar

From Egyptian cinema to Moroccan media--mapping a dispersed yet interconnected terrain of Arab new media artists

Positioning Arab new media art as dynamic rather than derivative, Rewiring Narratives situates this genre among the region's own material and social conditions, from early cinema and state infrastructures to post-2011 digital narratives.
