Revolt Against Terra

By Peter Bowman

Terra and its colonies have enjoyed a mutually agreeable and profitable relationship for decades. The mother world had given much financial and material support in the colonies of the outer world's early years. The government interfered little in colonial affairs. The hands off policy attracted independent people who chafed under Terran regulations.

The situation however, changes when the Solar government decides that it is time to increase control of the colonies. Regulations and tiresome paperwork finally catches up with them. The social divide between Terrans and Colonials widens. Both sides become distrustful and disdainful toward each other. Across the galaxy, relations between inner and outer worlds also begin to swell with tension.

The uneasy peace between Terra and the colonies reaches a boiling point when Douglas Forrest becomes Solar president. Forrest is a Manchurian candidate groomed by a cabal masterminded, Robert Rodman, a powerful lawyer and political strategist, a man political insiders understood that was the power behind the throne. In their desperation, the colonies turn to popular Titanian billionaire businessman, David Harrison for leadership and guidance.

Will Terran corruption and political strife continue to create instability for the colonies? Just how far will Harrison and the colonies go to defeat them?
