I am a trauma surgeon. There was high emphasis on the subject of anatomy when I attended med school and I "collected" many anatomy books and atlases but the most useful one was the Ben Pansky Review of Gross Anatomy. I highly recommend it to all who need it as a textbook or as a refference.

As a medical transcriptionist, I have used numerous reference books in the course of working, from basic word books without definitions, to the Dorland's Medical Dictionary. I have found Review of Gross Anatomy gives the details necessary for typing surgical reports, and now it is my most-used reference. The illustrations are detailed, yet clear and easy to understand; they are what has really sold me on this book.
