Do you know where your teen-agers are? If they're with Reverend Mama, God help them....

The story revolves around a very small family, the title character, a mysterious woman along with the strange cult she leads, and Quin Masters her VanHelsing who is determined to destroy her. This takes place in the early to mid 70's, not long after the Tate-LaBianca murder trial and news of satanic cults. The story begins with a bloody, and very gory murder revealed in detail by the dialogue of the investigating officer. Quin Masters makes his appearance, offers his input. Under his breath, he promises to put an end to her. Masters is tormented by an unsightly birthmark that covers half his face which in to play in the story. He is also a cult de-programmer with a high success rate up until he met one of Reverend Mama's minions. A college boy, with a very dark secret, is recruited into the cult and like the rest becomes a danger to his family and the larger society. Reverend Mama is first seen as a middle aged women and becomes younger looking as her hold over her followers gets stronger. It is not clear to me whether the title characters is a sorceress or a demon. I tried to find info on the author, but could find no information on the internet (yet). I enjoyed the book and recommend for horror fans.
