There is an island whose name has been lost to history. The locals call it by two names, Upworld and Downworld. A border splits the island in two since anyone can remember. The Upworld is home to the rich and prosperous. When the island was divided, the Upworlders as they're called claimed the healthy and rich land. The Downworlders, however, got the waste land. As the unwanted they are looked down upon by their neighbors. Though they search for shelter, clothes and food daily, no Downworlder wishes for the life of an Upworlder. When one girl finds out that she would actually be welcomed as an Upworlder she struggles to maintain that belief. Does she stay a Downworlder and continue to live with her protector Mitch? Or does she take on a new life as an Upworlder with the family she never knew she had? My name is Tiff and this is my story.
