Many today in the United States adhere to a Revelation view that has only been around for less than 200 years. Darby started it in 1830, then in 1900 Schofield made his famous study Bible which featured the new dispensationalist view, and more recently LaHaye popularized this view with his famous left behind writings/videos. This modern view, called dispensationalism (a type of futurism), is the dominant view of today's church in the United States; yes, unbeknownst to us, the rest of the world doesn't believe in this view. Something that should concern Christians in the United States is that the teaching of a future 1,000 year earthly reign of Christ is only believed by Christians in the United States. The rest of the world realizes that the First Resurrection already happened with Jesus Christ (Matthew 27;52-54, Ephesians 4;8-10, Hebrews 12;22-24 and Ezekiel 37), and the Old Testament saints are already in Heaven experiencing the Thousand Year Reign right now. Journey with me through the Book of Revelation with the view called partial preterism. Revelation 1-19 is in the past. We are in the first part of 20. The later part of 20, along with 21 and 22 are in the future. I believe this to be the correct Biblical view.
