Revelation, Rationality, Knowledge and Truth

Any divide between revelation and rationality, religion and logic has to be irrational. If religion and rationality cannot proceed hand in hand, there has to be something deeply wrong with either of the two.

Does revelation play any vital role in human affairs? Is not rationality sufficient to guide man in all the problems which confront him? Numerous questions such as these are examined with minute attention.

All major issues which intrigue the modern mind are attempted to be incorporated in this fascinatingly comprehensive statute.

Whatever the intellectual or educational background of the reader, this book is bound to offer him something of his interest.

It examines a very diverse and wide range of subjects including the concept of revelation in different religions, history of philosophy, cosmology, extraterrestrial life, the future of life on earth, natural selection and its role in evolution. It also elaborately discusses the advent of the Messiah, or other universal reformers, awaited by different religions. Likewise, many other topical issues which have been agitating the human mind since time immemorial are also incorporated.

The main emphasis is on the ability of the Quran to correctly discuss all important events of the past, present and future from the beginning of the universe to its ultimate end.

Aided by strong incontrovertible logic and scientific evidence, the Quran does not shy away from presenting itself to the merciless scrutiny of rationality.

It will be hard to find a reader whose queries are not satisfactorily answered. We hope that most readers will testify that this will always stand out as a book among books - perhaps the greatest literary achievement of this century.

A book for the open-minded!

The late Mirza Tahir Ahmad was a true leader and a scholar in his own right and is still doing so much for mankind even after his successful role as Khalifat of the Ahmadiyyat Jamaat of Islam through his literary works. This book blows away any clouds of doubt for those who tread carefully on many debates between Religion and Science. Truly after reading this book you will be left wondering why we don't have teachers or lecturers like Mirza Tahir Ahmad in our schools, colleges & universities in the world. This book is a real treasure.

A clear blow to the god of Natural Selection!

For me the most interesting concept in this book was that of "guided" evolution. The author proves with convincing arguments that although there is no doubt that the various species have developed from the lowest to the highest forms via evolutionary processes, however, 'natural selection' that invariably depends on the occurrence of random mutations, cannot scientifically explain the advancement of species from one form to the next. In fact, this dependence on random mutations makes such advancement, as is seen in nature, a mathematical impossibility. The atheists are so in awe of the process of natural selection that they have made it into a god that has creative abilities, but their own science is sufficient to refute this belief.

Simply Incredible!

I first read this book when it was published a couple of years ago. I have never completely understood it, as it is a literary masterpiece and some of the issues discussed are beyond the comprehension of an ordinary person like me. Nevertheless, it continues to fascinate me and whenever an issue intrigues me, I rely on this book for a better understanding. It provides thoughful and detailed insight into philosophy, origins of different religions and also an amazing analysis of issues that plague manking today. THis book is surely a testimony to the author's wisdom, intellect and broad vision.

A fascinating book

This a beautifully written work on a very important topic; whether revelation (from a single God, the creator of all) has anything to do with the attainment of human knowledge. This book traces the history of human thought (religious, philosophical, scientific) and tries to ascertain the role of revelation in it. This is a work whose real importance is still to be recongnised by the philosophers and scientists in general. But its day will come and soon for that matte
