A New Mexico teenager, Annaleia Rodan, is told by her uncle that she wasn't actually born in the world she grew up in. She was born Princess Annaleia Libbian Rodan in a world that doesn't have cars, phones or guns. The fantasy world she was born in needs her to go back and reclaim the throne from the usurper who killed her parents and brother. The only thing that keeps the people of the kingdom going is the hope that Queen Annaleia comes back to save them. It is now her responsibility to go back and fight the usurper for the throne, but first, there is the problem of raising an army and learning how to fight with a sword, knife and bow and arrow. Not to mention learning how to become royalty. Thanks to her father's old guard and the elves, she has help in this task, but after a few attacks by men trying to kill her, she must keep it together to not only survive, but succeed. The people of the kingdom are dying right and left because the usurper is using all the resources to the max. This was not what she had planned after her graduation from High School, but this is her destiny.
