Retired US Marshal Big Mike Reynolds has prepared for a year to receive Hope Andrews so they can marry. Hope Andrews, Sheriff Taylor and his wife, Patty, begin their journey in covered wagons to Clearwaters to meet Mike and plan for his and Hope's marriage. Before Hope's arrival, Big Mike gets word that his sister, Mary, has been kidnapped by a ruthless outlaw who challenges Big Mike to come and rescue his sister. Big Mike is torn between staying to receive Hope and leaving immediately to rescue his sister. Having no choice but to go after the outlaw and rescuing Mary, Big Mike leaves for Santa Fe to begin his quest. Thus, begins the many obstacles that seem to prevent their marriage. The last obstacle that causes harm to come to Hope brings Big Mike's faith to a great test of either seeking revenge on the person who harmed Hope or to seek justice and let the Lord deal with the person as His word tells us. Which way will Big Mike go; one way leads to destruction and the other way leads to life.
