Aaron and Minnie Edsall were real people who lived in Towanda, Pennsylvania with their four children during the late-1800s and the early-1900s. This novel is a somewhat fictionalized history of the family intended to bring them back to life and to show how truly important each of us is in life. It is designed to pique the curiosity of readers about life in a different time such that a real, not a purely fictionalized or romanticized, portrayal is given. Readers will get to know each family member to the extent possible, individual imaginations filling in many of the blanks in their lives. Once you've finished reading the novel, you will have a better appreciation of history, historical perspective, human nature and what is really important in life.
