TWO BEST FRIENDS, A HOMELESS MAN, AND A SURFBOARD. ONE UNFORGETTABLE SUMMER.
Daytona Beach, 1992. Pete is kind-hearted, but a total doormat. Dagwood is cocky, self-obsessed, and somehow convinced he's irresistible. Together, they're chasing the three F's: fame, fortune, and females. Their summer takes a hard turn when an old homeless man washes ashore claiming to be Humus Doubloon-the forgotten inventor of surfing. According to Humus, history got it wrong, his life's work was stolen, and it's up to Pete and Dagwood to set the record straight. With only the bizarre, half-mad teachings of this so-called "father of surfing," the boys enter the Worldwide Surfing Competition with everything on the line: rewriting history, winning big, and starting their senior year of high school as minor celebrities. The only problem? Pete and Dagwood can't decide whether Humus Doubloon is a misunderstood genius ... or completely insane.
