Resource Planning in Congolese Companies

Resource planning is a bit like the art of orchestrating a symphony. Each instrument - human, material, financial or temporal - must play its part at the right moment for the company to function harmoniously. In Lubumbashi, several companies illustrate this dynamic well. Take REGIDESO, for example. Faced with the proliferation of private drilling companies, it had to rethink its resource management to remain competitive. Another example: some local SMEs, particularly in the manufacturing sector, have shown that even with limited resources, well thought-out planning can make a difference. A study carried out at the University of Lubumbashi revealed that SMEs that value their human resources by investing in training, motivation and participation achieve better economic and social performance.
