This collection of poems is a companion piece to a memoir called Affirmations in Action, published previously. The poems are a retrospective of the author's journey as a writer, with the theme being "survival." What they have in common is that they were both created during the recent global pandemic incorporating universal themes. Whether you read the prose or the poetry first doesn't matter, as each book is able to stand alone or as a pair. In this book, the author has included two poems in Swedish.
