The investigative competence in the teaching of chemistry is a fundamental axis to strengthen meaningful learning, by promoting in students skills such as observation, question formulation, hypothesis, experimentation, data analysis and scientific argumentation. Through pedagogical strategies based on research, learning ceases to be rote and is oriented towards the understanding of chemical phenomena related to the daily environment. This competency favors critical thinking, intellectual autonomy and problem solving, allowing students to construct knowledge in an active and reflective manner. Consequently, the integration of the investigative competence in the chemistry classroom contributes to the improvement of academic performance and the development of scientific attitudes necessary for comprehensive training and responsible participation in society.
