Putting the broken and lost in their place and proving them wrong is not the way to win their hearts for Christ. We can't expect those who have lost their way and living in sin to respond to a rebuking and discrediting dialogue. This will usually drive them further away from the church and make it harder to convince them that God's Kingdom is better than the destructive life Satan has promised them. They will see it as hatred toward them, at a time when they need love, acceptance, and kindness.People will not change without motivation and the origin of motivation is emotion. There has to be a connection with the heart, as well as the mind. There is no greater motivation to change for the better than giving someone hope.
