He roots his lies in enough truth to make them very believable. Discerning them is not always easy. Satan is very crafty, shrewd, and subtle.
God's word and Spirit are able to give us all that we need to take each sinful thought captive. Further, God supplies the truth that must replace Satan's lies. God's truth is the foundation for a holy life. God's truth is the pure substance we need to replace the roots of our sinful practices.
