This work describes an intellectual and spiritual journey that began four decades ago when the author, who was to become a scientist and theologian, recognized his strong faith in the unity of truth and a genuine fascination with the history of Galileo. Remembering Galileo is a memorial to the astronomer that has the courage to examine both the foundations of science and of theology to try and discover whether such a faith could ever be justified.
