This Book is for Everybody!

Remember the Promise is an excellent book written for teenagers, especially Mormon teenagers to help deal and face with everyday problems. I was given this book by camp counselors after attending EFY (Especially For Youth) a week long summer camp for Mormon youth. This book corrasponds, and is a follow up to many of the talks and lessons given that week. Of course, if you have never been to EFY, it dosen't mean you can't read this book, infact, you should read it even more because the twenty three talks go along with real life situations helping everybody! My faviorte sections of the book is "Be a Christian Soldier, Not a Weekend Warrior," written by Curtis Castillow. Castillow talks about how teens these days only go to church on Sunday, and only follow the commandments on Sunday, while the rest of the week they go out and do whatever they want to do, forgetting all that they learn on Sundays. I really like this section because I can related to this section personally, and it really helps me see how I somtimes act. Some other talks include, " You Have to be Different in Order to Make a Difference," "Hanging Around with the Book of Mormon," "For I Am Not Ashamed of the Cospel of Christ." All these talks have deep meaning, yet written in easy to follow, easy to understand format. The reason I like this book so much is not because one of the speakers in the book is my uncle, or because I've acctually heard three of the talks live before, it's because I can related to each and every talk written. The authors use real life examples and the topics are on problems everyone faces, meaning the talks can help everyone! You don't have to be Morman to apreicenat this book because this book can help any teen who willing to humble themselves and learn.

really really good

i had the wonderful opportunity of attending EFY last summer during the theme "Remember The Promise". it was such a good theme for me to start off my first year of EFY. the book had a lot of great talks in it. many of them were funny and helpful. i recommend buying this book for any teenager. p.s.-its even better to actually be at EFY when the speakers give the talk!i recommmend going to EFY to everyone!!
