In America today, the church has come to mean a building used once a week for members to fulfill religious obligations. A new generation of potential Christ followers is suspicious of the current format and is generally uninterested in participating. Reasons for the disconnections vary from abuses inflicted by the megachurch movement to, most recently, the virtual shuttering of every facility over a strain of the flu virus (COVID). Obviously, the intent of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost is to promote spiritual freedom, but, as per usual, man has stifled spiritual freedom instead.

Fascinating, yet true: the original Bible texts do not contain the word 'church' as we know it today. In the New Testament, the Greek word translated to church is the word ekklēs a, which means 'a calling out', or an assembly, or a gathering of Christian believers. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew word k'ne-si-ya means "tabernacle," referring to a gathering of believers for prayer, worship, and congregational activities. This writing aims to help us all refocus our priorities to align with the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
