Reluctant Farewell to a Dear Heart

By Mary Kleinsorge

"Reluctant Farewell to a Dear Heart" is a collection of original classical guitar compositions inspired by and written in memory of my great teacher and friend, James Smith, Professor of Classical Guitar, USC Thornton School of Music. Written in both tablature and notation, players of all levels will find something to challenge them in these pieces and will want to play them again and again. Recordings are also available. My dream is that Professor James Smith be remembered for all the music he has inspired. He was truly a positive influence in so many musical careers and was certainly the reason for this, my most recent classical expression. Thank you, Jim, for your inspiration and friendship. I hope you can hear as these pieces are played for you. I miss you. Please learn and love these pieces.
