Ask anyone what they think about some sticky religious topics and they are bound to tell you There will be stories, pseudo theories, insights, laughter, rolling of eyes, anger, resentment, fondness, smiles, grimaces and, at times, some tears. That is religious verbal-fluidity - and believe it or not, it can be quite useful. By listening to what a range of people have to say, we can gain incredible insight into how people experience their faith and what life experiences influenced it. We can identify what people need from their churches and from each other. We can even identify where religion is winning and where there is room for improvement. Most of all, it gives us the opportunity to learn from others and collaboratively seek a solution that, as one of the participants of this project suggested, will "benefit all, rather than just a few."
