Religion verses Homosexuality

There are a number of divisive issues in the nation today. They are called "social issues" and there are those that take opposing sides through well-meaning, but often ill-informed intentions. Religion and Homosexuality is just one issue that is raised from pulpits across the land with assertions of what the Bible says. In actuality the Bible does not say so and there are no books written reporting what Jesus said because he said nothing. Misinformed because of false assertions, individuals still oppose same-sex relationships because "my religion says so," "it's a threat to marriage" or "it will harm children." This short summary will clarify this issue and also give examples where Christian leaders of many stripes and ministries are also speaking out against homophobia. This short summary is well worth a few minutes of reading time. In fact, it's about time that we stop hurting and hating with a brand of Christianity unimagined by Jesus.
